About IROC

IROC is building a World Model of Human Biology: AI systems designed to model how biological systems work, change, and respond to perturbations in order to identify and select optimal therapeutic targets.

We combine structured biological knowledge, experimental data, and AI to make predictions and accelerate scientific discovery.

We are also coordinating a Horizon Europe research project bringing together multidisciplinary teams across biology and clinical research, multiple therapeutic areas, and several European institutions.

The role

We are looking for a Scientific Project Management Officer — Alternance with a background in pharmacy, biology, biomedical sciences, or a related field to support the coordination of the European projects including Horizon Europe.

This is a science-driven project management role: you will work closely with scientific and clinical teams to understand their work, structure it into clear plans and deliverables, and keep activities aligned across the consortium.

You do not need prior project-management experience. We are looking for someone with strong scientific foundations, excellent organization, and the ability to understand complex information and turn it into action.

What you'll do

• Support the coordination of a multidisciplinary projects including Horizon Europe research project.
• Work with teams across biology, clinical research, and different therapeutic areas.
• Track scientific activities, work packages, milestones, deliverables, and timelines.
• Turn scientific objectives into clear actions, responsibilities, and deadlines.
• Prepare and follow up on project meetings, decisions, and action items.
• Read and synthesize scientific literature, clinical information, and research materials to understand the context of each workstream.
• Coordinate information between scientific teams and the project-management team.
• Follow up with partners, identify delays, dependencies, and blockers, and help keep work moving.
• Support project documentation, reporting, and consortium communication.
• Gradually take ownership of specific project-management activities and workstreams.
• Help improve the processes and tools used to coordinate the project.

What we're looking for

Must have

• Background in pharmacy, biology, biomedical sciences, biotechnology, or a related life-science field.
• Strong understanding of biology and human physiology.
• Ability to read, understand, and synthesize scientific literature.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to structure complex information and communicate it clearly.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work across multidisciplinary teams.
• Autonomy, curiosity, and a strong willingness to learn.
• Professional fluency in English.

Nice to have

• Exposure to Horizon Europe or European collaborative research projects.
• Familiarity with work packages, deliverables, milestones, or reporting.
• Experience in clinical research.
• Previous experience in pharma, biotech, academia, hospitals, or research.
• Initial experience in project management, research coordination, or scientific operations.
• Interest in AI, computational biology, or drug discovery.
